The Role and Ministry of
Apostle, John G.L.Burpee

John was born in Houlton, Maine. He married Nancy, also from Maine, in August of 1974. They have two children, Chad and Julie, and three grandchildren. He served in the U.S. Air Force for nine years. John and Nancy have and continue to travel extensively holding Healing crusades, Leadership conferences, Revival meetings around the world. He is launching Awaken to your Destiny Conferences in Aug of 2007.They reside in Lincoln, Nebraska and Pastor Gates of Praise.

John has a diploma from Faith School of Theology, Charleston, Maine and has a BA. in Bible from Central Bible College, Springfield, Missouri. He has several credit hours in post graduate studies for Masters of Theology. He has pastored as an ordained minister for over twenty years.

His role is CEO of the local church fulfilling Five-Fold duties. He is also Apostle over Destiny Churches and Ministries International, Apostolic Network. He brings leadership to churches, ministers and ministries. He teaches, trains, equips and sends leaders into the ministry. He helps leaders to start (plant) churches and ministries. He is there to be a covering for those ministers and ministries. He recognizes the call of God on individual’s lives and helps them come into full time ministry by training, equipping, ordaining and sending.

He believes you can be called into different sectors of our society: Civic (political) Business (marketplace) Ecclesial (local church and support ministries of the local church) as full time ministers.

He is also a Bridge Builder. He helps regions, churches, ministries, ministers and others get connected with the right people and the right resources. His desire and assignment is to help be a catalyst in getting people to step into their assignment and fulfill their destiny.

God is using Apostle John to move those on the left and right sides of the bridge to the center where there can a be balance but also an adventuress pioneer spirit, where leadership can be brought around those unknowns as to stay biblically based, and where people don’t have to be tolerated they can be celebrated.
